I am using the Steam Edition, which I thought already had all of the above integrated into it. Such a feature, that would markedly improve default navigation - in addition to adding the gate to gate experience that they've already added - would definitely put FSCaptain in its own category. Your version of FsX is unknown, you must have at least SP1 or SP2 or Acceleration installed - aborting FsPassenger - FsPassenger will now exit. It is supposed to debut in one of their upcoming updates: which would begin to put their (exclusive) FMC, or FCDU - as they call it.
However, the feature that may put FSCaptain over the top, could potentially be their prospective, "Waypoint Advancer,". I found fs flight deck companion, but it emphasis was more on the cockpit than the crew. However, all the stuff around it (especially the buying planes thing) wasn't what I wanted, because it restricted it too much for me. It feels slightly more rewarding - to know how well one is doing *while* in flight, and not just after. I used fs passenger for some time (borrowed it from a friend who wasn't using it) and its announcements were great.
